How does ECI handle scheduling emergencies?
To achieve flexibility and to plan for contingencies, we retain a number of part-time physicians (and part-time physician extenders, if appropriate) dedicated to your site. Supplementing the full-time physician partners allows for maximum flexibility should an emergency arise. In addition, ECI has employees in the Staffing Division who are on call at all times (days, nights, weekends, and holidays). If the scheduled physician is unable to cover the shift, appropriate calls are placed to privileged physicians of the facility until a replacement is found.
