Mid-Ohio Emergency Physicians, LLP, Appoints Medical Director

MedCentral Health System and Emergency Consultants, Inc. (ECI) are pleased to announce the appointment of Robert A. Hancock, MD, as the Medical Director for Mid-Ohio Emergency Physicians, LLP, in Mansfield, Ohio. As Medical Director, Dr. Hancock will oversee operations within the MedCentral Health System - Mansfield Hospital Emergency Department.

“I am honored to work with the talented partners of Mid-Ohio Emergency Physicians, LLP,” says Dr. Hancock. “As we stand at the cusp of a new decade, we look forward to further enhancing the emergency care that we offer the residents of the Mansfield community.”

Dr. Hancock is board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Hancock completed an internship in Internal Medicine at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, and a residency in Emergency Medicine at UCLA-Olive View Medical Center.

Dr. Hancock brings a wealth of clinical experience from his many years of practicing emergency medicine. He also brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership skills from his previous medical director experiences. Dr. Hancock regularly volunteers to provide emergency medical services at the Mid-Ohio Raceway.

Dr. Hancock joined Mid-Ohio Emergency Physicians, LLP, on a part-time basis in August 2009. As of January 1, 2010, he will begin serving MedCentral Health System - Mansfield in a full-time capacity.
 

“Dr. Hancock’s Emergency Medicine expertise and excellent leadership skills will make him a great asset to the emergency department, the hospital, and the community,” says Craig A. Rosenberg, MD, FACP, FACEP, Regional Director for ECI. “Dr. Hancock, along with our Assistant Medical Director, Dr. Bill Elliott, should be able to guide the emergency department to an even higher level of efficiency and patient/staff satisfaction.”
