St. John's Hospital Ranked as Leading Cardiac Care Provider
St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Illinois, has been recognized as one of the "100 Top Hospitals in Cardiac Care" for three consecutive years; the hospital has therefore been awarded Cardiovascular Benchmark honors.
Thomson Reuters Cardiovascular Benchmarks recognize the nation's top providers of cardiovascular service, using the two most recent years of data. This year's Cardiovascular Benchmark winners show decreased costs in conjunction with higher quality care and better clinical efficiency, as well as lower mortality rates than peer hospitals and lower readmission rates.
"St. John's Hospital helps set the standard for cardiac care in Illinois," says Derik K. King, MD, FACEP. "The Emergency Department physician partners are proud to be an integral part of making this program such a success for the patients of central Illinois."
